Banksia Espresso

Banksia Espresso is a small, sustainability-minded cafe in central Nambour that doubles as a gift shop. Specialty coffee and pastries share the space with shelves of Australian-made gifts from local Sunshine Coast makers, and Nambour's own community guide counts it among the town's dog friendly cafes.

With a dog, aim for the outdoor tables. The indoor room is small and cosy, so the footpath seating is the practical choice, and the staff have a friendly local reputation. Water bowls are often around but not guaranteed, so bring your own and check the setup with staff when you arrive.

The vibe

This is a coffee-first stop with an eco-conscious streak: quality espresso and cold drinks plus pastries and light bites rather than big cooked meals. The gift shelves make it an easy place to linger. Listed hours run early, from 6:30am on weekdays to a 2pm Saturday close, and the cafe is closed on Sundays. Central Nambour street parking is tight at peak times, so allow an extra minute to find a spot on the walk in.

Close by with the dogs

Nambour backs up a coffee stop with real dog infrastructure. The Petrie Park Dog Off Leash Area is a short drive away for a proper run, the Nambour Dog Agility Park adds obstacles if your dog needs more than an open field, and the Gary Evans Walkway suits a gentler loop.
