An Italian-style coffee bar in the middle of Main Street, with front footpath seating where leashed dogs are welcome to sit while you have an espresso or an evening aperitivo.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the footpath tables out front, on lead, a good people-watching perch mid-stroll. Water bowls are often put out and staff are used to locals bringing their dogs. Dogs stay on the footpath rather than inside the compact coffee bar.

Known for. Authentic Italian espresso and fresh sandwiches by day, and grazing boards and tasting platters for aperitivo in the evening. It is small, social and central.

Getting there and parking. 74 Main Street, in the central shopping strip. Street parking sits along Main Street but turns over slowly at busy times; the side streets and off-street bays are easier for walking a dog in.

Nearby with the dogs. Mornington Park and the foreshore are a short walk for green space and coastal paths, and the rest of Main Street's dog-friendly tables are on the doorstep. Royal Beach off-leash area is a short way south.

When to go. The footpath fills at peak coffee hours, so mid-morning or a calm evening aperitivo gives your dog more room beside the table.
