Muzz Buzz - Midland

Muzz Buzz on Great Eastern Highway is a walk-up and drive-thru coffee kiosk with no indoor seating, which makes it an easy, low-fuss stop with the dog rather than a sit-down cafe. Order at the window or from the car, and the dog comes along for free.

The dog setup

Because there is no indoor area at all, the usual can-the-dog-come-in question never applies. A small outdoor seating area sits beside the kiosk if you want five minutes off your feet. The chain is well known for handing out free dog treats at the window, and a water bowl is usually out; ask if you do not see one. Keep the lead short near the drive-thru lane, where traffic is moving all day.

Worth knowing

The menu is the classic drive-thru set: barista coffee, iced coffees, milkshakes and smoothies, plus toasted sandwiches, wraps, muffins and pastries. It runs early and late by cafe standards, 5:30am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 7am to 4:30pm on weekends, so it works as a first stop before the morning exercise run or a late-afternoon pickup.

Getting there

The kiosk sits at 307 Great Eastern Highway in central Midland, right on the main arterial. There is free street and car park parking around the site, including near Centrepoint Midland. Because it is highway frontage, this is a leash-tight stop rather than a wander-around one.

Close by with the dogs

For somewhere the dog can actually run, the enclosed Swan View dog park is a short drive east, and Guildford's Little Duck Creek Reserve is not much further. If you would rather a proper cafe sit, Love Avenue Cafe in Midland has outdoor tables that take dogs.
