The Browns Brew Co Cafe & Catering

The Browns Brew Co is a local cafe on Maroubra Road, a few minutes from Maroubra Junction, running on Allpress Espresso and an unusually plant-heavy menu. Dogs are welcome at the footpath seating out front, and the early 6:30am open makes it a natural pairing with a morning walk.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables; inside is human-only. Staff are friendly to dogs but water is not guaranteed, so pack a portable bowl, particularly on busier weekends when the footpath fills. Tables sit right on the pavement, so settle your dog close to the wall and out of the foot traffic along Maroubra Road.

Worth knowing

The kitchen runs a healthy menu with vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options, including a vegan omelette and a vegan burger alongside french toast and smoothies, plus homemade sweets in the cabinet. The cafe is community-minded, supporting local surf clubs, and runs a catering operation alongside the cafe floor. It trades until 2pm, with Mondays wrapping up at 11:30am and Sundays opening at 7:30am.

Getting there and parking

Street parking runs along Maroubra Road but gets busy, so side streets such as Garden Street or Moverly Road are reliable fallbacks. From the surrounding residential streets near Maroubra Junction it is an easy walk.

Close by with the dogs

Heffron Park, the large open reserve to the west, is the obvious pre-coffee walk. For something longer, the Bondi to Maroubra coastal walk finishes close by, and there is a short Coogee to North End Maroubra Beach option too. For a second coffee, Pool Coffee Eatery in the suburb welcomes dogs as well.
