11C Espresso

11C Espresso is a small specialty coffee bar on Duporth Avenue in central Maroochydore, the kind of place locals loop into their morning dog walk. It is explicitly dog-friendly, with footpath seating out the front where your dog can park up beside you while the coffee and the food arrive.

The pavement tables along the storefront are where dogs are welcome; indoors stays humans-only as you would expect of a compact food outlet. The footpath area is on the smaller side, so it best suits a settled dog that is comfortable lying close to the table while foot traffic passes. Keep the lead on and bring your own water bowl to be safe, since one is not guaranteed.

Max: claimed the corner table, got pats from half the street, split a toastie. Maroochydore mornings are done right.

The vibe

Coffee leads the menu, smooth and consistently well regarded, with matcha, taro lattes and bubble tea for the non-traditionalists. The food edge is Korean-inspired: kimbap, bulgogi bowls, teriyaki chicken and crispy rice hot dogs, plus bacon egg toasties and homemade sweets. Hours are 7:30am to 2pm, closed Tuesdays, which makes it a breakfast and lunch stop rather than an afternoon one.

Getting there and parking

The address is 77 Duporth Avenue, an easy walk from the Maroochydore city centre. Free street parking runs along Duporth and the nearby side streets, though it tightens up during the morning peak, another reason to come early.

Make a day of it

The Maroochy River parklands are a short walk away for a riverside stroll, and the Unfenced Dog Leash Free Park gives your dog room to run off-lead before you clip on for coffee. Fellow dog-friendly cafe MURRAYS on sixth is a few minutes north if you are working through the local list. For an overnight base, BIG4 Maroochy River takes dogs on the river side of town.
