Mangerton Corner Store

Mangerton Corner Store is a neighbourhood cafe, coffee bar and deli at 71 St Johns Avenue in Mangerton. The drawcard for dog owners is a sun-drenched back courtyard with tables where dogs are genuinely welcome alongside your morning coffee.

The dog setup

Dogs are permitted in the outdoor seating areas. The courtyard out the back is the pick: it catches the morning sun and has enough space to settle a dog comfortably under the table, and there is a small strip of street-side front seating that also works for well-behaved dogs.

Staff are accommodating, but there is no confirmed on-site water bowl, so bring your own portable one. Keep your dog leashed and settled, it is a compact space.

It works as a corner store, coffee bar and deli in one, with a steady local crowd. The bacon and egg roll is the signature order, alongside solid coffee, wraps and fresh pastries, and the garden courtyard setting keeps things quiet compared to the Wollongong strip cafes.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits at the corner in Mangerton, a few minutes from the Wollongong city side. Parking is on-street in the surrounding residential area, and it can take a short walk from the car at peak breakfast times.

Close by with the dogs

The Coniston dog beach is a short drive down the hill for a run before breakfast, and the Figtree off leash area covers the western side. If the courtyard is full, Lee and Me in central Wollongong is a dog-friendly fallback.
