Queenies Store

Queenies Store sits on Jetty Road at Largs Bay, a cosy corner cafe a short walk from the Largs Bay jetty and the foreshore. The menu is breakfast and lunch fundamentals done well: smashed avo, a BLT, avocado smash and a mushroom toastie with garlic mushrooms that regulars come back for. It trades Wednesday to Sunday mornings, from 7:30am on weekdays to 1pm, with slightly longer hours on weekends.

The cafe's own Instagram and patrons report that dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, and water is left out for dogs. It is a low fuss arrangement: grab an outside table, and the water bowl is already there.

Jetty Road mornings

The cafe runs mornings only, so plan the visit for breakfast or an early lunch rather than afternoon. Being on Jetty Road means the beach and the jetty are minutes away, and the Largs Bay foreshore is an easy on lead walk either side of the meal. Weekend mornings draw the local crowd, so the early sitting is the calm one, and street parking along Jetty Road is generally manageable before 9am.

For other dog friendly stops on the Largs and Semaphore side of Adelaide's northwest, Ink Espresso is the local coffee rival in the same suburb and Largs Bay Kiosk handles a beachside lunch. Up the coast at Semaphore, High Tide Cafe makes a good second stop on a foreshore day with the dog.

The cafe posts hours and specials to its Instagram, and with a Monday and Tuesday closure it pays to check the days before planning a weekday visit. The morning trade suits the suburb's rhythm: an hour on the foreshore with the dog, breakfast at Queenies, and the rest of the day left for the coast.
