Beck's Kiama

Beck's Kiama is a newer cafe at 10 Tingira Crescent, run by two brothers around a surf-culture theme, out towards the Little Blowhole end of town away from the main street crush. It has quickly built a name for strong coffee and sunny, easygoing service, and the bright outdoor seating out front is where dogs are welcome, which makes it a reliable first stop before or after a coastal walk.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the outdoor seating area out front, on lead, with the indoor room people only. There is no formal water-bowl service to count on, so pack a portable bowl, especially on a warm morning. The setting is relaxed and al fresco by design, so a settled dog fits right in, and the small retail corner with its surf gear gives you something to browse while the coffee lands.

The vibe and the menu

Coffee is the headline, house roasted, with toasties including the Reuben, banana bread, muffins, a falafel bowl and brunch plates behind it. Doors open 6:30am every day of the week and the kitchen winds down at 2pm, so it works as an early coffee or a lunch stop but not an afternoon one.

Getting there and parking

Tingira Crescent sits a short drive or a decent walk from the Kiama town centre, with street parking on the surrounding streets that turns over fairly quickly outside peak times. The Loves Bay via Kiama Blowholes walk is the natural pairing, and Diggies Kiama is the established alternative right by the harbour if you want to be closer to the water.
