What visitors mention
The Joondalup Dôme sits on the corner of Davidson Terrace and Boas Avenue in central Joondalup, and the venue itself flags that it is dog-friendly. Dogs join you in the outdoor alfresco seating, which is the reason to pick it over a standard chain stop: staff here are known to bring a water bowl out without being asked.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco area, not indoors, in line with the usual rule for assistance animals only inside. The outdoor tables are roomy and shaded, so it suits a longer sit after a walk. Water bowls are usually offered, but pack your own to be safe.
Good to know. It is a reliable, relaxed spot with the full Dôme menu of all-day breakfast, casual lunch, coffee and cakes. The outlook over nearby parkland is part of the appeal. Expect it to get busy at peak times.
Getting there. Corner of Davidson Terrace and Boas Avenue, Joondalup 6027. There is street parking along both roads plus City of Joondalup facilities close by, though the CBD bays fill through the middle of the day.
Nearby with the dogs. The Joondalup city paths run right past for a leashed loop. For proper off-leash running, the Elcar Park fenced dog park is a short trip away in the CBD; note that dogs are not permitted in Neil Hawkins Park.
Best mid-morning or mid-afternoon between the breakfast and lunch rushes, when the alfresco tables are easiest to get. Good for a settled coffee with a dog that likes shade.
