Diesel Espresso Bar

Diesel Espresso Bar is a small, community-minded coffee bar at Unit 7/320 Joondalup Drive, opposite Harvey Norman, and locals rate it among the best coffee in Joondalup. The dog draw is unusually generous for a compact shop: dogs are welcome both inside and out, and there is a free on-site car park at the door, which removes the usual leave-the-dog-in-the-car dilemma entirely.

The room is small, so a settled dog that tucks under the table works best, and the outdoor area gives you an easy fallback if your dog prefers elbow room. The coffee leans serious, batch brews alongside the usual espresso lineup, and the food is health-leaning and quick: smoothies, smoothie bowls, sandwiches and portion-controlled meal-prep boxes. Think fast, quality coffee rather than a long brunch, and you will get the most out of it. It runs 6:30am to 2:30pm on weekdays, 7am to 2pm Saturdays and 8am to 1pm Sundays.

Getting there and parking

The bar sits on Joondalup Drive in the city's commercial core, easy to reach by car with a free lot on site, and walkable from the Joondalup CBD and the Civic Centre precinct.

Close by with the dogs

The parkland around the Joondalup Civic Centre is a short leashed walk for stretching legs either side of coffee. For off-lead time, Elcar Park Fenced Dog Park is close by, and Lake Joondalup Circuit turns the stop into a full morning.
