Henley Beach Trailer

Henley Beach Trailer is a small coffee trailer parked on the Esplanade side of the Henley Beach South coastal path, and it keeps things simple: coffee, a short food menu with ham and cheese toasties, and seats in the open air. It opens weekends only, Saturday 8am to 1:30pm and Sunday 9am to 2pm, so plan the stop around a weekend morning walk.

The dog setup

Everything happens outside around the trailer on the path, which makes the dog logistics easy: dogs are welcome beside you at the tables or on a nearby bench. The catch is traffic of the wheeled kind, because the path carries runners, prams and cyclists, so keep your dog on a lead and close in. Water bowls sometimes sit out for passing dogs, but carry your own in case they are not.

Getting there and parking

Street parking runs along the Esplanade and side streets, but it fills quickly on sunny weekend mornings when the whole strip is out walking. Coming on foot or by bike along the coastal path from Henley Beach or West Beach is often easier, and it turns the coffee into the middle of the walk rather than a destination.

Close by with the dogs

Heading south, West Beach Dog Beach (Northern Boundary) gives your dog a proper off leash run once you are clear of the on leash stretches.
