Beach Break Café

Beach Break Café sits right on the sand at 1 Seaview Road, West Beach, a casual all-day spot where the outdoor tables look straight down the beach. Dogs are a normal part of the scene here rather than an exception, and the coastal path running past the door makes it a natural coffee stop on a foreshore walk.

The dog setup

The menu is breakfast and brunch territory done well: bacon and egg rolls, paninis, Dutch pancakes and a carrot cake with its own fan base, backed by a solid coffee run. It opens 8am daily, running to 3pm on weekdays and 3:30pm on weekends, so it covers both the early swim and the late brunch.

Getting there and parking

There is a free parking lot plus free street parking nearby, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. On summer weekends arrive before nine if you want a sea-facing table with a dog in tow, because the foreshore crowds build quickly.

While you are out there

The coastal path runs north toward Henley Beach and south toward Glenelg for a longer walk, and the West Beach Dog Beach is a short stroll away for off-lead time either side of coffee. Scootz Cafe is the other local dog-friendly option when you are in the area again.
