Bianchini's Gymea

Bianchini's sits in the middle of Gymea Village on Warburton Street, an Italian-leaning all-day cafe that trades from 6:30am to 2pm, seven days. It is walk-in only and gets genuinely busy on weekend mornings, but the footpath tables out front are the part that matters here: the village strip, a good coffee, and a dog welcome at your feet.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor footpath seating, which opens straight onto the Warburton Street strip. Staff have a friendly, pet-welcoming reputation, and the busy village backdrop suits a social dog that is happy to watch the world go by. Water bowls are not guaranteed, so pack your own, and keep the lead short while the footpath traffic passes.

Worth knowing

The draw is coffee and a broad all-day breakfast with casual Italian-leaning lunch options. The fritters, halloumi and eggs benedict come up again and again, and there is an acai bowl and a bacon and egg roll for the simpler orders. No bookings, so on Saturday and Sunday mornings you may wait for an outside table; weekday mornings and mid-afternoons are much easier.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking runs along Warburton Street and the surrounding blocks, though it thins out fast on weekend mornings. Gymea station is a short walk away, which makes a train-then-coffee run easy.

Make a day of it

The Gymea Bay Road strip is easy leashed walking either side of breakfast. Cafe Twelve is another village option with the dog, and if the morning turns into lunch plans, Gymea Hotel is in the same pocket.
