Brew & Crust

Brew & Crust works the Manuka end of Griffith from Shop 33/18 Flinders Way, and it runs a double shift: coffee and brunch through the day, then woodfired pizza and pasta at dinner from 5pm to 9pm. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables out front, which makes it an easy stop on a lap of the Griffith shops.

The dog setup

Dog seating is the outdoor tables on the Flinders Way frontage; the indoor room is for people only, so plan on the footpath side if you have the dog with you. Staff will generally bring a water bowl on request, but ask when you order rather than assuming one is already out. Keep your dog leashed and off the shop walkway, which stays busy around the Manuka precinct.

On the menu

Brunch runs to dirty eggs and the baked-goods cabinet, with cold-pressed juices and matcha alongside the coffee. The woodfired oven takes over at night for pizza and pasta, which sets it apart from the standard coffee-and-toastie lineup around Manuka. Brunch hours run 7am to 2:30pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 2:30pm Sunday, with dinner service from 5pm, so it can bookend a whole day out with the dog.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits in the Manuka shops precinct with street parking along Flinders Way and the surrounding roads, and it is an easy walk if you are already anywhere in Griffith or Manuka.

Close by with the dogs

The leafy Griffith residential streets and the Manuka Oval surrounds make a good pre or post-coffee loop, all on-lead under ACT rules; nearby Telopea Park is on-lead only and dogs must stay clear of play spaces. For a proper run, Kingston View Drive Fenced Dog Park is a short drive over. Typica Cafe and Sweet Little Cafe are other dog-friendly stops in the precinct.
