Bricks & Brunch is a popular, cosy modern Australian cafe at Shop 4, 224 Hamilton Road in Fairfield Heights, putting an Asian-fusion twist on brunch classics. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area only, which is the one detail that decides whether you bring yours along.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on leash with their owners in the designated outdoor section, which is accessible straight off the footpath. There are roughly three tables suited to dog owners out there, so timing matters on weekends. Staff are consistently friendly and accommodating, but there is no confirmed water bowl on site, so bring your own to be safe.

Worth knowing

The menu runs from The Big Bricks Brekkie and Pulled Pork Benny to acai bowls, all made on Pablo & Rusty coffee. The taro latte and matcha get regular callouts, and the food presentation is a point of pride. Hours run 7am to 2:45pm weekdays, from 7:45am Saturday and 8am Sunday, so it is strictly a daytime operation.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking is available on Hamilton Road plus a nearby free car park, though spaces thin out during weekend peaks. The cafe sits in a shopping strip with level, step-free access, so it is an easy in-and-out with a dog.
