Little Sunflower Café

Little Sunflower is a small, plant-filled health cafe on Ormond Road in Elwood, close to the beach. It is one of the more dog-accommodating spots on the strip thanks to a rear courtyard.

The dog setup. There is a dog-friendly courtyard at the back as well as street-side footpath tables, so you have a choice depending on the weather and how busy it is. Some reports suggest dogs are allowed inside too, but the cafe is small and cosy, so check on arrival. Staff are dog-friendly and known to offer treats.

Good to know. Open Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays. Known for healthy brunch with strong vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, the sweet potato rosti, and good coffee.

Getting there. Free street parking on Ormond Road and nearby, busy on weekends. A short walk from the foreshore.

Nearby with the dogs. Elwood Beach and Point Ormond Lookout are both a short walk for a stroll after eating.
