Gorilla Frozen Bar is a dessert bar on the ground floor of Ed.Square Town Centre in Edmondson Park, right opposite the train station. For dog owners the defining fact is simple: the seating is on the paved pedestrian plaza, so your dog stays with you outdoors while you order.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating directly in front of the shop and along the pedestrian thoroughfare. Pets are not permitted indoors, service dogs excepted. Keep your dog on a short leash and off the furniture, and settled at your feet, because the plaza is a shared dining space that gets busy with families and prams. Plaza tables do not reliably come with a water bowl, so bring your own.

Worth knowing

The menu is all dessert: loaded Crunch Waffles, crepes, thick milkshakes, acai bowls, gelato and frozen yoghurt with a long toppings list. It is a bright, neon-lit spot that hums in the evenings, so it suits an after-dinner treat run more than a quiet morning coffee. Hours run from 9am to 11pm daily.

Getting there and parking

Edmondson Park station sits directly across from the precinct, so it is an easy walk from the platform. If you are driving, the Ed.Square Town Centre car park usually has free parking for the first few hours. The shop sits in the ground-floor outdoor dining strip near Coles.

Close by with the dogs

The town centre walkways are pedestrian-friendly for a post-dessert stroll, but for a proper off-leash run head to the Bardia Fenced Dog Park or the Dogwood Crescent Fenced Dog Park, both a short drive away.
