Sora Café

Sora Cafe sits right on the foreshore at 26-28 Geographe Bay Road in Dunsborough, a bright coastal cafe built around local and seasonal produce. The dog-relevant pitch is simple: it is walk-in only, open 7am to 2pm daily, and the outdoor tables sit a step from the beachside path, which makes it a natural start or finish to a morning coastal walk.

Dogs are welcome on a leash in the outdoor, undercover and footpath seating, so there is a dry option when the weather turns. Staff have a friendly name among pet owners and will often bring water out, though a travel bowl is worth packing in summer when the outdoor tables are full and staff are flat out.

The menu leans healthy brunch and lunch: a slow-cooked beef brisket melt, a Margaret River farmhouse bacon and egg roll, avocado and tomato rolls and granola bowls. It is walk-in only, so arrive before the mid-morning rush in school holidays when the whole town fills. Everything wraps up at 2pm, so it is a morning plan rather than a late one.

Getting there and parking

Parking directly out front on Geographe Bay Road is limited, with more town parking a short walk away. The foreshore pedestrian path runs right past, so walking in from wherever you are staying is often easier than driving.

Close by with the dogs

The Dunsborough foreshore path allows dogs on-leash between Gifford Road and the Centennial Park car park, which pairs neatly with breakfast here.
