Weekend afternoons are the busiest stretch, with families spilling over from the playground and picnic tables.

The address is 38 Knox Road, inside Nurragingy Reserve. Free parking sits in the reserve car park, with wheelchair-accessible parking and entrances. The reserve is well signed from Knox Road, so finding the entrance is easy the first time.

Pepsi: the shaded tables around this cafe are a good spot to flop down after a lap of the reserve, just bring your own water bowl in case one is not out.

Close by with the dogs

Nurragingy Reserve is the drawcard, with walking trails, picnic spots and open green space right outside the door. For a dedicated off-lead run, the fenced park at Bungarribee Park is a short drive, and Sunny Corner Cafe is Doonside's other dog-friendly coffee stop.
