Café De Como

Cafe De Como is a warm, eclectic little cafe on Canning Highway at the Barker Avenue corner in Como, with art on the walls, comfy sofas and a record player turning somewhere behind the counter. It opens from 6am every day of the week, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, which makes it an easy standing appointment for locals walking the neighbourhood with a lead in hand.

Sweet treats and cakes rotate in the cabinet. It runs 6am to 4pm daily and winds down through the afternoon, so mornings are the main event. Weekend breakfast fills the rooms, and the outdoor tables go early.

The cafe sits at 370A Canning Highway, straightforward to reach by car off the highway, with parking generally easy by Perth standards: spaces out the back and bays along the adjacent side streets, though weekend mornings tighten up.

For a quick off-lead run before you sit down, the Olives Reserve fenced dog park is close by. For a longer outing, the South Perth Foreshore riverside paths are a short hop away and make one of the better on-lead walks in the city.
