Seasalt Clovelly

Seasalt Clovelly is a casual waterfront cafe perched right on Clovelly Beach at the end of Victory Street, serving the kind of laid-back coastal feed you want after a morning swim. Dogs are explicitly welcome on the terrace, water bowls get supplied without asking, and the ocean view does most of the selling on its own.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating areas, and the indoor-outdoor layout means you can settle in with your dog beside you and watch the waves. Staff are consistently welcoming to well-mannered dogs, and the terrace sits right above the sand, so it works as either a sit-down stop or a grab-and-go kiosk order eaten along the water.

Max: swim first, then fish and chips on the terrace with a bowl of water down. The dog gets the calm half of the day and so do you.

The vibe

The kitchen leans seafood: fish and chips, fish burgers, salt-and-pepper calamari and a spanner crab omelette that regulars single out. Breakfast and lunch run from 8am, winding up mid-afternoon on weekdays and a touch later on weekends. Weekends fill fast, especially through summer, so a weekday mid-morning is the best bet for a terrace table with a view.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Victory Street at Clovelly Beach, at the bottom end of the Clovelly Bay enclosure. Street parking is available in the surrounding streets but it is tight on summer weekends, and the easiest arrival is on foot along the coastal path from Coogee or Bronte, dog already halfway through its walk.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-lead run afterwards, Coogee Dog Park is a short hop north, and Jervoise Bay Dog Beach gives your dog a proper swim session. If Seasalt is full, The Little Kitchen in Coogee is a solid fallback.
