Bramble Bay General

Bramble Bay General is a family-run specialty coffee shop on Hornibrook Esplanade at Clontarf, set across from the bay foreshore. It is a relaxed morning stop with dogs welcome out front.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcomed in the front outdoor seating area, which catches the sea breeze and the bay views. Indoor seating exists but the outdoor tables are the spot to sit with your dog, and water bowls are often available.

Good to know. It leans into specialty coffee and a few signature drinks, the creme brulee latte with its cracked top being the talked-about one, plus cabinet food, cakes and light brunch. Sunny weekend mornings are the busiest.

Getting there. Street parking runs along the esplanade and fills quickly on fine weekends, so it pairs best with a foreshore walk.

Nearby with the dogs. The Artemis Dog Beach Strip is directly opposite for an on-leash stroll, and Puk Espresso is a short walk along the same esplanade.
