Cream & Co

Cream & Co is a compact local cafe at Shop 7, 42 Epsom Road on the corner of Childs Road, Chipping Norton. It runs early and closes after lunch, and the alfresco tables along Epsom Road are where well-behaved dogs on leads settle in for brunch.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco seating on a lead and under control; indoor seating is people only. The cafe is not primarily set up for dogs, so bring your own water bowl. With roughly 32 seats in total it fills fast on weekend mornings, and it is walk-ins only, so arrive early with the dog rather than hoping for a late table.

Worth knowing

The kitchen runs the full hot brunch menu Wednesday to Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday limited to coffee, cakes and toasted items from 5:30am. Brioche, French toast, bagels, banana bread and thick milkshakes are what regulars order. Weekend trade starts from 6am Saturday and 7am Sunday, closing 1pm.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Epsom Road near the Childs Road corner, with free street parking in the surrounding blocks. It is a quick hop from the Moorebank side of the Georges River for anyone crossing over for breakfast.

Close by with the dogs

Chipping Norton Lake's foreshore paths such as Heron Park are on-lead only, so for a proper run head to the five fenced hectares of Shale Hills Fenced Dog Park in West Hoxton or Bulldog Park in Liverpool. For another table that takes dogs, Four Little Foxes in Milperra is the neighbouring suburb option.
