It runs 7am to 3:30pm weekdays and 7am to 1pm Saturdays, closing Sundays, and locals rate it for quick service and value. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables, making it an easy stop after a neighbourhood walk.

The dog setup

The dog seating is the outdoor area at street level out front, where patrons regularly sit with their pets. Ask staff for a water bowl on arrival and bring your own as backup. The footpath is calm by Castle Hill standards, but keep your lead short through the morning rush of school and work traffic.

Worth knowing

The menu is broad for a small shop: wraps, burgers, toasties and melts across breakfast and lunch, with vegetarian and gluten-free options including a well-liked gluten-free brownie. Reviewers single out the egg sandwich, eggs benedict and french toast, and the coffee keeps pace with the food. Saturdays finish at 1pm, so the weekend window is short.

Getting there and parking

Barwell Avenue has reasonable street parking and the street-level entry is easy with a dog. It is a few minutes' drive north of the Castle Hill metro and showground precinct.

Close by with the dogs

For proper off-lead time, the Coolong Reserve Fenced Dog Park is the closest fenced option, with double gates, agility gear and shade. The Bidjigal Reserve Platypus Track covers a longer leashed walk. If you are cafe-hopping, Beanmeister Cafe and Remy Cafe and Bistro are both dog-friendly Castle Hill alternatives.
