The Daily Pour Kitchen

The Daily Pour Kitchen is a busy neighbourhood cafe on Oats Street in Carlisle, known for its all-day breakfast and a genuinely dog-friendly patio. The cafe's own social posts confirm dogs are welcome outside, which puts it a notch above the usual tolerate-a-dog-on-the-street arrangement.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables on the sheltered, street-side patio. Keep your dog leashed and settled under the table; staff have said online that the patio is dog friendly but ask that dogs are not left to wander. Water is generally available on request, so ask when you order rather than assuming a bowl will already be out. Inside is a different story, with the funky decor and tight layout better left to humans.

The menu

The chorizo omelette and eggs benedict come up again and again, along with the steak sandwich, banana bread and matcha lattes. Doors open early, around 6am on weekdays, so it doubles as a pre-work coffee stop for local dog walkers. Regulars rate the friendly staff as much as the food.

Getting there

The cafe sits at 94 Oats Street, Carlisle, a short walk from Oats Street station on the Armadale line. Street parking along Oats Street and the side streets is the easiest option if you are driving, though it tightens up with the weekend brunch crowd.

Make a day of it

Pair breakfast with a run at the Koolbardi Park Fenced Dog Park around the corner, or take the longer option with the Swan River Foreshore Loop a few minutes away. Laika Coffee at Lathlain is the alternate coffee stop if the patio is full.
