Mr Paisleys Cafe at 88 Cawarra Road is one of Caringbah's busier brunch rooms, opening from around 6am and holding a 4.7 rating across more than 350 reviews. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables out front, and the staff have a well-earned reputation for friendliness, which matters when you are managing a lead and a coffee order at the same time.

The dog setup

The dog tables are the footpath-style seating out front, not an enclosed courtyard, so keep leads short while the Cawarra Road foot traffic passes. There is no confirmed water bowl service, so carry your own. Weekend mornings fill quickly and the outdoor tables are first-come, so either come early or be ready to wait.

Worth knowing

The kitchen leans into proper breakfasts: bacon and egg rolls, sausage and egg muffins, the Paisley Plate, Avo Pesto Smash and Chilli Funghi, plus corn fritters, acai bowls, muffins and house-made organic almond milk smoothies. Coffee is the house First Love blend. Hours run to 2:30pm six days and 2pm Sundays, and it trades on public holidays with a surcharge.

Getting there and parking

Cawarra Road has free street parking, though it tightens up around weekday lunch. The strip is commercial rather than scenic, so this is a coffee stop to build a dog day around rather than a walk itself.

Close by with the dogs

Skip the Camellia Gardens, which council reserves for people only: dogs are prohibited there even on a leash. For proper off-lead time, the Helena Street Park Fenced Dog Park in Kirrawee is a short drive. On the cafe trail, Brick Pit Espresso and Toast 2230 in Woolooware are both nearby dog-friendly options.
