Sip Happens Caloundra

Sip Happens is a small neighbourhood cafe at 105 Bulcock Street, right in the middle of Caloundra's main strip, pouring solid coffee and casual breakfast and lunch with the footpath tables out front. The strip is an easy walk from Bulcock Beach, so it slots neatly into a town stroll with the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs sit with you at the outdoor footpath seating along Bulcock Street, while the indoor area stays for people. This is a dog-savvy stretch of shops and water bowls are common along the row, but bring your own to be safe. Mornings are the calm window for a kerbside table before the strip fills.

The vibe

Reviewers call out the friendly staff and the coffee, and the menu covers the casual breakfast-and-lunch ground rather than destination dining. Hours run from 6:30am on weekends and 7am weekdays, closing early afternoon, and the strip itself comes alive on event nights when the Twilight Markets are on.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits mid-block on Bulcock Street, a few minutes from the Bulcock Beach end of town. Street parking runs along Bulcock Street and the surrounding streets and it fills on weekends and festival days, so come early or walk in from the foreshore.

While you're out there

The Bulcock Beach boardwalk and Esplanade are on-lead areas under Sunshine Coast Council rules, and dogs are banned from the sand at Bulcock Beach altogether, with a five-metre stand-off from council barbecues. The Coochin Park dog area at Dicky Beach is the nearest all-hours off-lead option if the beach walk needs a run added. The Twilight Markets run along the Esplanade on the last Friday of most months, best enjoyed with the dog on a short lead and away from the food stalls.
