The dog setup

As a small deli-style venue, dogs are kept to the exterior seating rather than inside. The outdoor tables near the entrance suit a fast feed, and the lunch rush moves quickly, so ask staff where they would prefer your dog settled since the footpath setup is tight. Bring your own water bowl, particularly through the middle of the day when the queue is deepest.

The sandwiches

The sandwiches are the drawcard: green goddess chicken, turkey brie and roast beef on house-made focaccia or sourdough, plus pastries and tiramisu for the counter. Wilburs. is at 10-12 Roger Street, Brookvale. Street parking is available on Roger Street and the surrounding industrial streets but gets tight around lunch, and it is an easy walk from the main Pittwater Road strip. If you want to turn it into a longer afternoon, several dog-friendly breweries sit within walking distance on the same streets, and the run at Hinkler Dog Park is a short drive south.
