The Seller Door

The Seller Door is an all-day brunch cafe and wine shop at 73 Jetty Road, Brighton, a short walk from the jetty and the sand. It opens 7am to 3pm every day of the week, and it handles both ends of the day: açai bowls and coffee in the morning, boutique wine from its in-house label later on. Dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor seating, which is where most people sit anyway.

The dog setup

There are two outdoor options for dogs. Street-side tables run along the Jetty Road footpath, and behind the cafe is a relaxed open-air courtyard with picnic-style seating that has a casual beachside feel and more room to settle a dog. The indoor area stays for two-legged guests. The strip is used to dogs and staff are accommodating; in the warmer months, carry a water bowl just in case one is not already on the ground.

The vibe and the menu

The kitchen leans fresh and generous: fruit-loaded açai bowls, poke-style beach bowls, cold press juice and matcha, with solid vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free coverage across the all-day brunch menu. There is a broad tea list alongside the coffee, and the same room doubles as a wine shop in the afternoon, with bottomless brunch packages on weekends. It works as both a post-walk breakfast stop and a late-afternoon drink.

Getting there and parking

Jetty Road sits just down from Brighton Railway Station, so the Seaford line train is an easy way in. Free street parking runs along Jetty Road and the side streets, but it tightens up on weekends, so check signage and allow an extra minute or two.

Pair it with

The jetty and the foreshore are a few minutes' walk west. Under City of Holdfast Bay rules, dogs need to be leashed on the beach between 10am and 8pm during daylight savings and can run off lead outside those hours under effective control, and leashes stay on in the marked hooded plover nesting zones regardless of time. Carry waste bags on the foreshore, as the council requires.
