INC Cafe

INC Cafe is a social-enterprise cafe run by Minda on Jack Fox Drive in Brighton, set back from the seafront inside the Minda complex. It employs people of all abilities, the tables are roomy, and the location makes it a natural stop after a walk along the coastal path or the beach, with its own parking that the Jetty Road strip cannot offer.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating, which is spacious enough to settle a dog in without traffic squeezing past. Indoors stays people-only for food safety, so plan for an outside table. Hours are weekdays only: 8am to 3pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm Friday, closed weekends, so weekday brunch or an early dinner on Friday is the play.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Jack Fox Drive within the Minda complex in Brighton SA, a short hop from the Esplanade. Free onsite parking is the big advantage here, and street parking is available nearby as well, so the drive-and-park is easy compared with the busy Jetty Road strip.

Brighton's beach runs seasonal off-leash rules under City of Holdfast Bay bylaws: during daylight saving (October to March) dogs must be on lead between 10am and 8pm and can run off lead under effective control outside those hours, while from April to September the foreshore is off lead at all hours under control. The coastal path and reserves are on-lead at all times, and dogs never enter the dunes, with leash rules applying near signed hooded plover nesting areas. For a fenced run, Dover Square Reserve's fenced dog park is nearby, and Brighton Jetty Bakery is the other local staple.
