Battle sits in a small suburban shopping strip on Diana Drive, with free parking usually available out front and on the surrounding residential streets. Buses along Springfield Road cover the suburb if you are not driving.

Close by with the dogs

The on-lead bushland trails of Blackburn Lake Sanctuary are a short drive away for a proper walk, with the Whitehorse Heritage Trail running through the same reserve. The off-lead oval at Eram Park in Box Hill North covers the run-around, and Aunt Billies Cafe in Blackburn is the next dog-friendly coffee stop over the creek.
