Angie's Bistrot

Angie's Bistrot is a small all-day brunch cafe at 5/134 Parkway Road, Bibra Lake, open 6:30am to 2pm every day with the kitchen winding up around 1pm. It sits right in the pocket where the eastern side of the lake trail meets the shops, and it welcomes dogs into the shaded alfresco out front, which makes it the natural coffee stop before or after the water.

The dog setup

Dogs are allowed in the undercover alfresco area at the front, on lead and settled beside your table. Staff put out water bowls for visiting dogs, though bringing your own is never a bad idea on a busy weekend. There is no dedicated dog menu or puppuccino on the books, so the treats are whatever you carry in. Weekday mornings are the calm seat; the alfresco fills up fast on Saturdays and Sundays once the lake walkers start rolling through.

Crepes and the menu

The bistrot is best known for its crepes, from classic cinnamon sugar to the Dubai chocolate version regulars chase, alongside all-day brunch plates with poached eggs and a proper line-up of vegan dishes. The homemade cakes and sweets cabinet is worth a look before you order. Coffee is well regarded locally, and the mood is unhurried, more neighbourhood kitchen than scene.

Getting there and parking

Parking is free in the bays and street space around Parkway Road, with accessible bays close to the strip. From the car it is a few steps to the cafe and a short walk to the lake edge.

Close by with the dogs

The reserve itself is an on-lead area under City of Cockburn rules, and dogs are excluded from the fenced playground on the lakefront. Even so, the Bibra Lake Loop is a flat, fully paved circuit of about six kilometres with birdlife and viewing platforms, and it pairs perfectly with a crepe stop.
