The setup. Paddington Cafe runs along the High Street strip at 131-133 Belmont, and dogs are welcome at the footpath tables out front. It is street-side seating rather than an enclosed courtyard, so you and the dog sit alongside the passing foot traffic. Indoors is off-limits under the standard Victorian food rules.

Water and treats. Staff are used to dogs and water bowls are usually available at the front. Because the seating is right on the footpath, this suits a socialised dog that is settled around pedestrians and street noise rather than a reactive one.

Getting there. Metered street parking sits directly out front (watch the time limits); the Coles and Kmart Belmont car park nearby is the fallback. Walkable from the surrounding Belmont streets.

Worth knowing. Best as a quick coffee-and-bagel stop before or after a Barwon River walk. If your dog needs quiet, the footpath position may be a bit exposed at peak brunch hours.
