CC and co cafe

CC and co cafe is a small brunch spot at 20 Francis Street in Battery Point, tucked into a heritage building just off the Hampden Road strip. It opens at 7am most days (8am on Sundays) and does a tight, well-regarded brunch menu alongside specialty coffee. The room is compact and dressed with local Tasmanian work, ceramics, sculpted jewellery and watercolour cards among it, so the feel is part cafe, part maker's shopfront.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome outside, at the pavement seating out the front of the heritage building. The space is intimate, so a short leash and a dog that settles quietly works best, especially when the tables fill. A water bowl is often offered, but given the size of the venue it is worth bringing your own. There is no separate dog menu; the welcome is the draw rather than a pup-specific spread.

The vibe

The menu is short and fresh: banana bread, avocado toast, comforting baked beans and generous toasties, with matcha including a lavender version on the drinks side. Locals rate the staff as genuinely welcoming, and portion sizes vary by dish so ask if you are unsure.

Getting there and parking

Francis Street connects to Hampden Road, and the cafe is an easy walk from Salamanca Place and the Hobart waterfront. Street parking around Battery Point is limited and often timed, so allow a few extra minutes.

Close by with the dogs

The nearest City of Hobart off-lead area is the Ross Patent Slip grassed space off Napoleon Street, a few minutes' walk away, and Short Beach and the Errol Flynn Reserve in Sandy Bay give a waterside run. Remember dogs must stay on lead on Hobart footpaths, with a two-dog limit per person. Other local stops include OZUS COFFEE around the corner, Brew in Sandy Bay and Brewwich in the city.
