Gunthers Lane is a cafe and community technology hub on Russell Street in central Bathurst, run by Reliance Bank in the old Counting House. For a dog owner, the useful part is the covered courtyard out the back, a quiet spot to sit out of the sun.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the undercover outdoor area, the laneway courtyard behind the building. Indoor access is for assistance animals only, so plan on the courtyard. Bring your own water bowl.

Good to know. Merlo coffee, iced lattes and sweets, plus free wifi and a tech corner inside. Hours run early morning to around midday or early afternoon, weekends included.

Getting there. On-street parking runs along Russell Street, central and walkable from most CBD accommodation. The cafe sits behind the old Westpac building.

Machattie Park is a short walk or quick drive for a leashed lap afterwards.
