Oliver Brown(Bathurst)

Oliver Brown is a Belgian chocolate cafe inside the Bathurst City Centre on Howick Street, trading in hot chocolate, waffles, crepes, churros and fondue from 7:30am on weekdays and Saturdays, and 7:30am Sundays. For dog owners it works as a sweet stop mid-walk, with the seating that matters sitting outside.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, and as a food premises the interior is off limits, so the kerbside seating is your spot. Bring your own water bowl, since dedicated dog amenities are not a given here, and keep a settled dog under the table.

The vibe

The menu leans dessert: Belgian hot chocolate made from couverture callets, fondue, waffles, crepes, frappes and specialty coffee, with smashed avo and brunch plates for anyone who wants a proper meal first. It suits a treat stop more than a long sit.

The centre sits on Howick Street in the middle of Bathurst, with the centre's own parking plus street parking nearby. Weekend mornings mean a short hunt for a spot, and it is an easy walk from the main shopping blocks.
