Breeze Cafe & Bar

Breeze Cafe & Bar sits right on the Esplanade at Aldinga Beach, a casual all-day cafe and bar with wide views over the reef, and it welcomes dogs in the alfresco seating across the road from the sand. It trades from 8am into the evening, so it covers breakfast through to sunset drinks rather than just the morning shift.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco seating on the footpath and esplanade side, which is where the ocean outlook is. Inside is generally off-limits, as with most venues of this style. Staff are friendly toward dogs and water is usually on hand, though it is worth bringing your own bowl on a busy day. Pick a table with room for your dog to lie clear of the service path.

The vibe

The draw is the outlook and a broad menu: all-day breakfast, casual lunch, seafood and cocktails, with vegetarian and vegan options. Weekends get busy and weeknights stay quieter, so an early dinner or a midweek visit means a calmer table for a settled dog.

Getting there and parking

It is directly on the Esplanade with free street parking plus a car park, both of which fill on summer weekends. The coastal cycling route runs past the door, so it is an easy stop if you are riding the foreshore with the dog trotting alongside.

Make a day of it

Aldinga Beach is just across the road for a walk before or after, and Silver Sands to the north gives dogs a wide stretch of sand. Note that Aldinga is a drive-on beach with off-leash zones, so check the current council signs before unclipping. If you are making a weekend of it, The Salty Dog Beach House keeps dogs in the holiday equation, and Symonds Reserve Fenced Dog Park is a secure run close by.
