Cellar Door @ The Farm

Cellar Door @ The Farm sits on 21-23 Delaneys Road in Warrandyte South, on the Melbourne edge of the Yarra Valley about half an hour from the CBD. It is a boutique vineyard cellar door set across a working property of farmland and native bush, pouring estate wines at table-side tastings, and dogs are welcome.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome to join you at the cellar door, with staff asking simply that yours stays under control and you clean up after them. The covered verandah and outdoor areas are the natural spots to settle, water bowls are available if you ask, and the roomier setting across the property gives a leashed dog more breathing space than most suburban cellar doors. Book ahead so a dog-friendly table is waiting.

Worth knowing

Tastings are seated and guided rather than stand-at-the-bar, with cheese and charcuterie boards and local produce platters alongside wines by the glass or bottle. There is no full restaurant menu and no BYO food. Hours run Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday to Sunday 10am to 5pm, closed Monday to Thursday.

Getting there and parking

The property is off Warrandyte Road on Delaneys Road, an easy drive from Ringwood or Warrandyte township, with parking on site.

Close by with the dogs

Before a tasting, Colman Park Dog Off Leash Area and Stiggant Reserve Dog Off Leash Area are both nearby for an off-lead run, which suits a dog that has just been asked to lie quietly on a verandah.
