Kilikanoon Wines Cellar Door

Kilikanoon Wines Cellar Door operates out of a rustic 1860s farmhouse at 30 Penna Lane, Penwortham, about ten minutes south of Clare, and it is one of the Clare Valley's most genuinely dog-welcoming cellar doors. Well-behaved dogs are allowed inside the tasting room as well as in the outdoor courtyard, which is far from standard and makes this a reliable stop in any weather.

The dog setup

Inside, dogs settle beside you near the fire in winter; outside, water bowls and shaded spots are provided. The expectations are the usual ones: on a lead or under close control, settled rather than roaming between tables, and tolerant of other tasters.
