Jarvis Estate

Jarvis Estate is a small, family-run single vineyard on Wirring Road in Bramley, about ten minutes from Margaret River town, and it doubles as one of the more unusual dog-friendly stops in the region thanks to an off-grid campsite set right among the vines. Dogs are welcome at the campsite by prior arrangement, and well-behaved dogs on lead may be allowed in the outdoor cellar door area, which makes this a stop for travelling dogs rather than a general dog-friendly cellar door.

Dogs at the Jarvis Estate

At the campsite, dogs stay on lead at your site and are not allowed to wander into the vineyard rows. The camping ground takes fully self-contained vehicles only, caravans, motorhomes and campervans with your own chemical toilet, there are only a handful of sites, and you need to arrive with your own drinking water because tanks cannot be filled. Book ahead, and ask about dogs at the same time. For the cellar door, dogs on lead may be permitted in the outdoor areas at staff discretion; there is no blanket policy, so confirm before you arrive and bring your own water bowl.

The vibe

Everything poured here is grown, made and bottled on site, with estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc at the core, and the tasting reputation leans on knowledgeable, unhurried service. Barrel tastings and fortified flights are part of the draw, and campers often score a complimentary tasting with their stay. The winery also runs an on-site gallery.

The cellar door sits at 808 Wirring Road, Bramley, off the Brockman Highway, with on-site parking and separate, spacious camping sites. Margaret River town is about ten minutes back down the road for supplies and more dog-friendly stops.
