Tomerong Oval Loop

Tomerong Oval is the village sports ground, and walking its grassy perimeter makes a simple on-lead loop in a quiet corner of the Shoalhaven.

Lead rules

Shoalhaven City Council requires dogs on lead here, as the oval is not a designated off-leash area. Dogs must also stay off the playing surface when organised sport is on.

The loop

The circuit follows the mown grass edge of the field, with native bush and eucalypts beyond. The field itself is open and takes full sun, while trees on the edges give partial shade.

Bins are around the reserve and pavilion, and parking is close by. Bring water and a travel bowl for the dog.

Max: Check the fixture before you go and skip the oval when a game is on.

Early mornings and evenings are best for the shade, and any time organised sport is not on.
