Dogs on lead on the path; on the beach, on lead 10am-8pm from October to March (City of Port Adelaide Enfield).
The Semaphore Beach Path runs along the foreshore at Semaphore Park, a paved coastal track with the dunes on one side and Gulf St Vincent beyond. On the path itself, dogs stay on lead.
Lead rules
Keep dogs leashed on the shared path. The City of Port Adelaide Enfield runs seasonal rules on the beach below.
From October to March, dogs on those beaches must be on lead between 10am and 8pm. Outside those hours different rules apply, so check the signs at each access point.
The walk
The path is concrete and asphalt, shared with bikes. It follows the dunes past the Semaphore foreshore with sea views most of the way.
Pair it with
The Semapaw Park Fenced Dog Park is close by for off-lead play, and Cafe Froot is up the road in Semaphore.
Summer evenings are the cool time to go. Bring water for the dog.
