Rockview Public Park

Rockview Public Park is where Currumbin Creek meets the surf at Palm Beach, and its off-leash area gives dogs a choice of calm lagoon water or small waves. Tarrabora Lagoon is on one side, the open ocean on the other.

The off-leash area

City of Gold Coast has a designated off-leash zone here along the beachfront and the creek-side tracks. Dogs are welcome within the signed zones, so check the signs to see where it ends.

The walk

Concrete paths link to sandy tracks down to the beach. Shade is limited, with a few trees and park structures but long open stretches of sand and dune.

Water stations and a rinse-down area for dogs sit near the off-leash beach access, and bins run along the Palm Beach Parklands paths.

Pepsi: Flat water on the lagoon side, waves on the ocean side. Pick your swim, then rinse off on the way out.

Park in the Palm Beach Parklands car park or on nearby streets. Toilets are close by.

Mornings and late afternoons beat the midday sun on the exposed sand. It is busy and social, so it suits confident dogs that love the water.
