Charles Veryard Reserve

Charles Veryard Reserve is on Bourke Street in North Perth, near the Yokine border. The City of Vincent lists it as an approved dog exercise area, so dogs can run off lead when the grounds are free.

Leads and sport

Off lead is allowed across the reserve when it is not booked for club sport or a community event.

When a booking is on, different rules apply, with dogs limited to the eastern side near Deague Court, so check the signs before you unclip.

The walk

A paved, wheelchair-friendly path loops the perimeter past exercise stations and big shady trees, around wide open turf.

A fully fenced playground and barbecues are on site, along with toilets.

Water and shade

Drinking fountains with low dog bowls sit around the edge, with shaded benches beside them.

When to go

Mornings and early evenings bring a regular crowd of dogs, which suits social dogs best. Big trees make it a decent summer option.
