North Kirra Beachfront Path

The North Kirra Beachfront Path is the Bilinga stretch of the Gold Coast Oceanway, a sealed concrete path with open surf and dune views. Dogs are welcome on lead.

Lead rules

The City of Gold Coast requires dogs on a leash along the path and the beachfront beside it. Keep well away from the patrolled swimming area between the red and yellow flags, where dogs are not allowed.

The walk

The concrete is smooth underfoot and a good alternative to hot sand. Sweeping dunes and surf fill one side, and aircraft pass overhead on their approach.

Bubblers sit near the North Kirra Surf Life Saving Club and the beach access points, with bins nearby. Parking is off Pacific Parade near the surf club and in the surrounding streets.

Max: Shade is patchy along the seawall. Pick a cool hour and stop at the bubblers.

When to go

Mornings and late afternoons beat the midday sun on this exposed path. Flat and sealed, it suits older dogs and anyone after an easy seaside stroll.
