Anzac Park Circuit

The Anzac Park Circuit loops through Maryborough's Anzac Park beside Ululah Lagoon, starting and finishing near Alice Street. It is a paved, on-lead walk under big shade trees, not far from Tinana.

Leads on

Fraser Coast Regional Council has not made the park an off-leash area, so dogs stay on lead for the whole circuit.

The walk

A concrete path follows the lagoon past open grass, playgrounds and the SplashSide water play area. Giant mature trees shade much of the way, and the lagoon brings plenty of birdlife.

Drinking taps and bins are spread through the park, with several car parks and street parking nearby.

Make a day of it

Tinana Fenced Dog Park has fenced off-lead space, and Toast Espresso Bar is a good coffee stop in Maryborough.

When to go

SplashSide and the playgrounds draw families, so keep the lead short as you pass them. The flat, shaded path suits older dogs, even in the warmer months.
