Toast Espresso Bar is a busy, locally owned coffee spot at 199 Bazaar Street in the heart of Maryborough, and all of its outdoor seating is dog-friendly. It is a reliable stop for a coffee or a feed with the dog while you work through the heritage streets of the CBD.

Water bowls are provided and the team is known to make free puppuccinos, so it is one of the easier cafes in the region to arrive at with a dog unannounced. The coffee is the headline, poured from the house espresso blend and rated highly by locals, with toasties and gourmet focaccias the food favourites alongside breakfast plates, carrot cake and pumpkin scones from the cabinet. Hours run from 5.30am on weekdays, trading to 2pm on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and to 4pm on Wednesday and Thursday. It closes on weekends, so plan a weekday visit.

The cafe sits in the main city precinct on Bazaar Street, with street parking on Bazaar and the surrounding blocks. It is an easy walk from most of the CBD.

Close by with the dogs
