Maiden Gully Recreation Reserve on Beckhams Road is the village's sports hub, with a main oval, tennis courts and a playground. Its internal paths make a short on-lead stroll rather than a long walk.

The City of Greater Bendigo keeps dogs on a lead in public places unless an area is signed off-lead, and this reserve is not. Stay off the oval while games or training are on.
Getting around
Paths link the car park, pavilion, tennis courts and playground. A full perimeter loop is still being planned by council, so for now it is a matter of joining the existing paths.
The setting is open regional country around a busy local ground, so weekday mornings are quieter.

For an off-lead run, head to Glenelg Drive Reserve Dog Off Leash Area in Maiden Gully, or Emily Way Dog Off Leash Area in Golden Square.
Good for a quick leg stretch with a young dog before a proper run elsewhere.
