Wilsons River Experience Walk

The Wilsons River Experience Walk follows the river from the Lismore CBD toward Albert Park, about 3 km return on a flat, paved path. Dogs walk it on a lead, and a fenced off-leash dog park waits at Riverside Park.

Lead rules

Lismore City Council requires dogs on a lead along the riverside path and through the wider Riverside Park. The Lismore River Dog Park by the water is fenced and off-leash.

The walk

Along the way are a huge butter churn sculpture, bush food gardens and signs on the area's history and environment. Mature trees shade much of the riverbank.

Water and parking

Water taps sit near the riverside precinct and the dog park, which also has hoses and clamshell pools for cooling off. Bins and bag provisions are kept up through the parklands.

Park near the CBD or at the Riverside Park access points.
