Kingswood Park

In the Tamworth locality of Kingswood, Kingswood Park is a local sports reserve with a cricket field, a playground and native trees. It suits a short leashed stroll on the grass rather than a formal path walk.

Lead rules

Tamworth Regional Council requires dogs on lead in all public places outside signed off-lead parks, and this reserve is not one. Keep dogs at least 10 metres from the playground equipment.

The walk

There is no sealed loop. You walk the grass surrounds and the margins of the cricket field, which has a synthetic pitch, with native trees around the edges.

Bring water and bags, as we could not confirm any facilities for dogs.

Avoid match days, and go early in summer when the grass heats up.
